Last night Knight and I slept in the living room. For some reason we get in the mood to do that every now and then so I brought the spare mattress out and we fell asleep to a movie, the romantic movie "The Ten Comandments". So I went to roll over last night and opened my eyes for a split second to find my son just sitting and staring at me. As I try to get my heart to stop racing he explains that he had a bad dream but didn't want to wake me. So thoughtful. I think it would have been easier to wake up to someone touching and talking than just a face staring at you.

Now that I'm a mom, I feel bad for how many times I did that exact same thing to my mom because...it's one of my worst fears: to roll over and find someone staring at me, even my own child. I've informed my eldest (the only one able to get out of bed without assistance) that she is to stand at the bedroom door and call my name. :)
